dc.description.abstract | Global financial crisis has impacted and changed the financial strength of many banks in the world. This paper employs Altman's Z – score Altman (1993) to assess bankruptcy risk pre and post global financial crisis for Vietnam's commercial banks. Our data includes 5 state-owned commercial banks and 25 public commercial banks. We find that bankruptcy risk exists and more severe post global financial crisis. We also find that state-owned commercial banks have higher risk than most of public commercial banks in both before and after financial crisis. | en |
