dc.description.abstractIn the current study, we focus on the development of a numerical algorithm for the Laplace equation-based image inpainting problem. A software program to implement the proposed algorithm is also developed. In experiments, the proposed method recovered corrupted images effectively. It can also remove defects as well as unnecessary objects successfully. The program provides an effective, convenient, and easy solution to perform the image inpainting in practical tasks. It also provides a useful feature to assess image quality after processing with both full reference and blind image quality assessment.en
