Abstract: | Vietnam has the developing economic and demographic expansion over the last decade, making it an attractive investment location for international investors in the public healthcare sector. The Vietnamese healthcare industry is one of the country's growth objectives with the great government financial assistance. Moreover, the Covid-19 outbreak has changed the priorities of health for most people. People are willing to spend more on healthcare. The continued growth of the developing countries and increasing demand for high-quality healthcare services are significant drivers for healthcare service businesses, especially medical device companies. MDT, the biggest Giant of Medical Device business, has taken this opportunity to expand their business as their vision to become the largest medical device company in Vietnam. With this rapid expansion in Vietnam recently, beside the great support of capital, professional procedures, management system and well experiences leadership, they are facing with the challenges to deal with their skilled labour shortage and develop the current local team integrated in the global management system. Apart from economic development, the COVID-19 pandemic influencing the rising demand of the Vietnamese healthcare sector which has also created the great impact to the business development plan of MDT Vietnam. This research is focus on how MDT Vietnam retain and develop their skilled sales team in order to achieve company sales target in the short-term and MDT‘s long-term vision. |
