Abstract: | Company XYZ is one of the most popular brands in the footwear and sneaker industry. Therefore, it attracts a lot of talented employees on the labor market. The organization has approximately 4400 employees worldwide and achieved 2.21 billion U.S dollars in revenue in 2021. In Vietnam, Company XYZ representative office was established in 2003 at District 1, Ho Chi Minh city. Although Company XYZ Vietnam is a great place to work with many exceptional benefits and competitive pay ranges, it has been experiencing issues with some undesirable symptoms, such as increasing turnover rate, low employee engagement and low quality of talent pool. These alarming symptoms are used as foundational information for further research into the root causes. The research was carried out with the supporting information from company data, various literature reviews and in-depth interviews with the company’s managers, employees and former employees. The findings eventually revealed that the main problem was the ineffective Learning and Development activities. After identifying the main problem, the root causes were investigated using literature reviews and in-depth interviews. The results of the research showed the lack of dedicated Learning and Development headcount as the main root cause to be solved. Therefore, the researcher proposed alternative solutions that should be taken into consideration in accordance with the situation and financial budget of the company. With detailed evaluation between the alternative solutions, the implementation of Degreed.com eLearning system was chosen to be the most suitable solution. Finally, an action plan was created to offer a detailed timeline for the future adoption of the Degreed.com eLearning system. |
