Abstract: | Nguyễn Huệ Street is a historically significant street located in the economic and historical center of Ho Chi Minh City. Throughout various historical periods, this street has undergone multiple transformations, with the Nguyễn Huệ Pedestrian Project being the most important pedestrianization project in Vietnam. The project has had a substantial impact on the surrounding area, particularly in terms of changes to land use, land value, and other factors related to urban planning and management. In addition, the study also examines the sense of place, which has been influenced by the transformation in the design and activities of the area. This paper specifically focuses on how the project has affected changes in land use functions and the sense of place, providing a comprehensive assessment of the project's transformation process and its impact on urban land use. To achieve this, the study focuses on the trends in land use changes and evaluates their effects on the related sense of place, allowing for a deeper understanding of the project's impact. |
