Abstract: | An employee is one of the most precious assets of every organization. They should be treated well to perform tasks effectively and efficiently, contributing to the good organizational performance. The actions taken to ensure proper treatment, also known as providing job resources, are not limited to salary alone. In an educational setting, a positive environment with positive relationships and stable job conditions is considered to be of greater importance. Only when adequate resources are provided can employees feel secure in their work, leading to improved efficiency for the organization, as well as fostering a positive work environment and personal development for the employees. This study aims to address the psychological working conditions of non-teaching staff at the Office for International Study Programs, a unit of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, within the context of higher education in public universities, specifically in the fields of engineering and technology. By analyzing turnover rate data from 2020 to 2024, in line with interviews conducted with key stakeholders such as directors, managers, former employees, and current staff members who have taken on additional responsibilities, the study seeks to identify the core issue. Drawing on relevant theoretical frameworks, the research will uncover the underlying causes of the problem and pinpoint the primary contributing factor. Based on this understanding, a comprehensive roadmap and plan for effective solutions will be developed to improve the situation. |
