Abstract: | Given the increasing relevance of the sharing economy, this study addresses key gaps in understanding the psychological and social factors that shape user behavior and outcomes. Adopting a comprehensive approach, it investigates how social interaction, expectations of reciprocity, and perceived social value influence user participation in sharing economy platforms. Additionally, the study examines how these behaviors affect social inclusion and subjective well-being. A survey conducted via Google Forms gathered data from 243 users across various sharing economy platforms in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and was analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that altruistic attitudes, reciprocity norms, and perceived social values positively impact user engagement, while community affiliation has a negative effect. Moreover, significant relationships were found between usage behavior and outcomes. The study's findings offer both theoretical insights and practical recommendations for enhancing user engagement and informing policy development in the sharing economy |
