The influences of information security governance on firm performance an urgent consideration for Vietnamsese managers

Abstract

Information Security Governance has been taken into account as a dominant factor in any organization’s information system (Cheuk Hang Au, 2019) and business performances (Sultan Alghamdi, 2020). Besides, in accordance with the inspiration by a bunch of previous researches in foreign countries, knowledge management also plays a vital role in the influence of Information Security Governance on firm performances. Therefore, the authors decided to study the impacts of Information Security Governance on Vietnamese firm’s business performances through the mediator – knowledge management. The authors took a survey on 150 Vietnamese board of directors, manager of departments in any organizations in order to collect empirical database for processing and analyzing. The results showed that Information Security Governance and Knowledge Management directly has positive impacts on firm performances. Then, the authors give out some opinions about how this will be an urgent consideration for Vietnamese managers. Finally, the authors eventually acknowledged some research limitations and suggested future research derived from present research.
