Assessment of green consumer behavior in Dong Nai province

Abstract

Green consumption is now considered the consumption trend of the century as the environment becomes a major concern for many countries around the world. Green consumption is increasingly playing an important role in addressing environmental issues, through cooperation among manufacturers, consumers, and other stakeholders to bring about more sustainable solutions in production and consumption systems. Based on a survey of 249 consumers in Dong Nai province, 43.1% of them regularly purchase green products for daily use, and 36.3% regularly engage in green behavior. However, the proportion of people who practice green consumption is low, accounting for only one-third of the total number of consumers surveyed. Based on analysis and evaluation of the current situation, the authors propose a number of solutions related to consumers, businesses producing green products, and recommendations to the government to promote green consumption behavior in Dong Nai province in the future.
