Looking back on 10 years of Vietnamese agricultural exports to china: Status and challenges

Abstract

In Vietnam, the agricultural sector in general or the exporting agricultural products in particular, with its inherent strengths, has made such important contributions to the socio-economic development of the country. Therefore, this research was carried out to overview of the current Vietnam’s agricultural exporting situation to China and draw in-depth conclusions along with contributing results and solutions to the socio economic development process as well as the lives of Vietnamese farmers. Aiming to propose solutions and recommendations to help promote agricultural exports in Vietnam, and modernize the process of agricultural production, in this research model, the research team has used a combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods to approaching, using data collected from official websites such as worldbank.org, imf.org, customs.gov.vn,… to analyze the influencing macro factors such as GDP, exchange rate,... and their level of influence. By studying related previous papers, the research team built a research model and use quantitative methods to analyze secondary data collected from official websites of bothVietnamese and Chinese government. Then, the authors redefine the relevance of the results to reality and present it in a more objective way based on opinions from previous papers as well as in practice and experts.
