Entertainment preference survey among Vietnamese students

Abstract

Society is developing day by day, science and technology are getting higher and higher, machines have replaced people to solve many jobs. People have more free time to spend on other things. One of those needs is to be entertained. Entertainment is a high need of people, especially young people. Through recreational activities, people reproduce labor, integrate into the community, and create relationships with the community. With the development of society, many types of entertainment appear, each type of entertainment has different characteristics and benefits, and the number of people participating in these types of entertainment is not equal. For the youth, this is the period of perfecting their personality and maturity of individuals. Entertainment is very interested by young people because, through entertainment, they have the conditions to express themselves, to learn and exchange life experiences with friends, community, society... With students living conditions making the environment more bustling, the year-round industrial rhythm is exposed to noise. Therefore, entertainment plays an indispensable role in the lives of students. However, besides the entertainment benefits brought, it is the types of entertainment that have a negative impact on the lives of students. In order to find out the type of unhealthy entertainment as well as the status and level of participation of students in these recreational activities in the present time, we have chosen the topic "Entertainment preference survey among Vietnamese students" as a topic for the final project of the course in applied statistics.
