Abstract: | The research aims to provide empirical evidence on the relationship among Board of Directors characteristics, Board Committee, and Supervisory Board characteristics on bank performance in Vietnam. The study focuses on the Vietnamese listed banks with a data-set of five-year period from 2018 to 2022. The outcomes reveal that most Board of Directors characteristics, Board Committee, and Supervisory Board characteristics had significant effect on the bank performance, except for Board Independence, Supervisory Board Meeting, Risk Committee and Nomination Committee. Despite having no significant influence on bank performance, Board Independence, Supervisory Board Meeting and Nomination Committee may still have a positive influence on bank performance. Moreover, this study highlights the significant and positive impact of Board Gender and Supervisory Board Gender towards the bank performance. |
