This investigation explores the complex dynamics surrounding technology overload and its dual impact on the task performance of gig workers. With a specific emphasis on scrutinizing the mediating roles of challenge technostressors and hindrance technostressors, the study centers its focus on the unique context of Ho Chi Minh City. Its objective is to illuminate the diverse consequences, both positive and negative, stemming from technology overload on the task fulfillment of gig workers. By scrutinizing the intricate interplay between technological demands and technostressors, the research strives to offer comprehensive insights into the challenges faced by gig workers, providing implications for individuals and organizations aiming to improve performance and well-being within the dynamic gig employment landscape. Employing a dual-method approach, combining qualitative and quantitative methodologies, the research collected data from gig workers in Ho Chi Minh City, primarily aged between 18 and 27. The spatial scope of the study was confined to Ho Chi Minh City, with data collection spanning five weeks in 2023, from January 1 to February 4, 2024, covering various times on both weekdays and weekends.en_US
