Adopting electric motorbikes in horizontal collaboration can reduce dependence on carbon-based fuels, mitigate air pollution, and lower greenhouse gas emissions, and even create job opportunities in countries where motorbikes dominate the transportation landscape. However, these mediation outputs benefited from electric vehicles including motorbikes in these countries remain largely unknown. The study applies the methodology of reviewing previous case studies conducted in many countries in the world to discuss and conclude the feasibility of horizontal collaboration. Accordingly, economic and environmental mediation outputs have a strong impact on horizontal collaboration, while there is no research thus far assessing the opportunity of jobs by adopting electric motorbikes. The pioneering study logically explains social mediation output. Altogether, the study proposes the need to have a collaboration between electric motorbikes leasing brands (such as Green and Smart Mobility – GSM) with the other traditional one using gas-powered vehicles (such as Grab, Gojek, Be, etc.) in terms of the three critical aspects: economic viability, emissions and social benefits.en_US
