This article examines the impact of education on rice cultivation productivity among households in Vietnam, utilizing data from the Vietnam Access to Resources Household Survey (VARHS) conducted in 2016. Our study employs an Endogenous Switching Regression Model to analyze the data, revealing that higher levels of education contribute to improved agricultural productivity by facilitating the adoption of new rice varieties. The findings of this research provide evidence supporting Schultz's hypothesis that enhanced education enhances agricultural productivity, particularly in the context of adopting high-yielding varieties technologies. In term of policy, we recommend that farmers actively participate in specialized agricultural education programs to enhance the integration of scientific and technological advancements into their production practices, thereby elevating overall agricultural productivity.en_US
