This research aims to identify the internal, external, and demographic factors that influence Vietnamese college students' intentions to study abroad. Also, the managerial implications are proposed by the research group to attract Vietnamese college students studying abroad to return to work for their country. Our study employs quantitative research, through group discussion to develop the questionnaire. The data was collected and processed by using SmartPLS, testing the model to determine the impact of internal factors (Overseas Learning Experiences, Career Development, and Personal Growth), external factors (Socio-cultural Aspects, Institutions of host countries, and Attraction Policies of host countries), and demographic factors on the intentions of Vietnamese college students to study abroad. After conducting PLS analysis, the researching results illustrates that three factors: Overseas Learning Experiences, Socio-cultural Aspects, and Attraction Policies of host countries have a positive impact on the intention to study abroad; meanwhile, Career Development, Personal Growth, and Institutions of host countries are on the contrary. Besides, the Major factor in demographics also has a small influence on Vietnamese college students' intentions to study abroad. In practical terms, this research topic contributes new perspectives and insights into the contributors impacting the intention to study abroad. Based on the findings, the study proposes recommendations that are suitable for the current situation of Vietnamese college students studying abroad. These suggestions aim at attracting this resource to continue studying at universities in Vietnam and to encourage them to return to work and dedicate themselves to the development of their home country’s economy.en_US
