Abstract: | The authors collected secondary data on stocks traded in the Vietnamese market and macroeconomic variables including inflation and GDP. This data was used to evaluate the impact of inflation. After filtering out outliers, a linear regression method was used to analyze the correlation at the enterprise level. Drawing upon market perspectives and existing research literature, the authors hypothesized that inflation negatively impacts enterprise value. This hypothesis was tested using enterprise MTB and TobinQ values. Linear regression analysis revealed a positive correlation between inflation and these values in the Vietnamese market. Further scale verification provided additional evidence supporting the hypothesis, indicating that inflation negatively affects enterprise value. |
