Abstract: | Individual working performance (IWP) is a matter of great interest not only to managers but also to employees. IWP plays an important role in bringing the business to a positive development. However, when the COVID - 19 attacked in early 2020, it changed people's lifestyle and work style, or the effect on industries and businesses in the world. In the fourth wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in Vietnam, people had to do a lockdown to ensure their safety for individuals and the community. Therefore, organizations and businesses have started to offer a new method of working - Working from home (WFH) to adapt to these changes effectively. This results in a greater concern for IWP or organization productivity. This research aims to test and measure the impact of WFH on IWP through four factors, such as Leadership, Job satisfaction, Work stress and Work - life balance.Research is conducted on theoretical and practical foundations, using two methods, namely quantitative research method and qualitative research method. The qualitative method was conducted in face-to-face interviews with three participants who have experienced WFH. And the quantitative method approach was analyzed on the 350 workers through Google Form. Research explores positive results in showing that all of the Leadership, Job satisfaction, Work stress, and Work-life balance affect IWP when WFH. Four hypotheses are generally accepted namely: ―Leadership has a positive effect on IWP‖, ―Job satisfaction has positive effects on IWP‖, ―Work stress has negative effects on IWP‖ and ―Work-life balance has negative effect on IWP‖ when WFH. The study found that the ―Job satisfaction‖ factor represents the greatest impact on IWP during the Covid-19 period in Ho Chi Minh City. In addition, for the study, foundations are based on previous research in other countries, for practical use in Viet Nam and particularly at the national economic center - Ho Chi Minh City. Our team has considered and outlined the most optimal alternative solutions in the present and the future when life begins in the new normal state. |
