Investigating the interaction between digital transformation and esg performance of enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City: a study on the mediating role of green innovation, media attention and risk taking level

Abstract

This research’s ambition is to ascertain the positive impact of Digital Transformation on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) Performance of enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City. Besides, the mediating role of Green Innovation, Media Attention and Risk Taking Level were illustrated in the relationship between Digital Transformation and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) Performance. Data were collected from 430 managers working in both small and medium enterprises across Ho Chi Minh City. The suggested research model and hypotheses were tested using partial least squares structural equation modeling, or PLS-SEM. According to the research findings and preliminary results, several implications are proposed to assist businesses in improving Digital Transformation, which, therefore, help to enhance environmental, social, and governance (ESG) Performance directly and indirectly through Green Innovation, Media Attention and Risk Taking Level.
